In the third quarter of 2025, the performance of fast food and fast casual restaurant apps on the iOS platform in New Zealand showed varying trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps experienced fluctuations in downloads and active user numbers.

McDonald’s saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 2.5K in mid-July. Active users rose from around 137K at the start of the quarter to a high of 174K in early September, before settling at around 146K by the end of September.

KFC New Zealand experienced a significant jump in downloads, especially in the last week of September, reaching 6.6K. Active users grew consistently from 22K to over 31K by the end of the quarter.

Pizza Hut New Zealand maintained a stable download rate throughout the quarter, with a small increase to 2K downloads in the final week. Active users fluctuated, starting at 17K and ending at approximately 15K.

Burger King NZ showed an uptick in downloads in August, with a peak of 2K. Active users remained relatively low, peaking at 390 in mid-August.

Subway® New Zealand downloads increased notably in the third week of August to 2K. Active users peaked at 11K in the same period, before stabilizing around 9.5K by the end of the quarter.
